1. Eligibility
Fellow: Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Psychiatry with 5 years full time standing in Psychiatry
Ordinary Member: Medical Doctor whose qualification is recognized by the Indian Medical Council
Associate Member: Worked in the Para-psychiatric and allied discipline & who is interested in aims and objects of the Society
Life Fellowship /Membership: A Fellow / Member / Associate Member has to apply on the prescribed form and will be considered for the same by the council after clearing all past dues and one time life subscription.
An ordinary member on fulfillment of eligibility may apply for his election as fellow.
2. Application fee of Rs 100/- (US Dollar 20 for overseas members) is required to be remitted... refundable
3. An applicant must be proposed by a fellow and seconded by another fellow of the society.
4. Please complete the application form in all respects in clear legible handwriting in block letters or typing. Strike out what is inapplicable.

No fees for members above the age of 70 Years.
6. The decision of the Executive Council regarding election of the member / fellow will be communicated to the applicant in due course by Hon. Gen. Secretary's office.
7. Issue of Indian Journal of Psychiatry to the new members will commence only after confirmation of membership status by the Executive Council. No separate charge will be levied for this. Queries regarding non-receipt of journal may please be made to Hon. Editor, Dr. T.S.S.Rao, Mysore.

8. All payments must be made by Bank Demand Draft marked Acct. Payee only in favour of Hon. Treasurer, Indian Psychiatric Society payable at any bank in Kolkata.
9. Kindly keep the office of Hoy. Treasurer, Gen. Secretary & Editor informed regarding any change in your mailing address.
10. Two Recent passport size Photograph is essential with your Application (Duly written your name in Block Letter behind the Photograph )
